We are coming to realize that when trauma occurs, often the only place the wounded psyche can go for respite is into another psychic dimension. This has been referred to as the Borderland, as named by Jerome S. Bernstein (Jungian analyst) – not to be confused with borderline personality disorder. In Borderland people find a sense of belonging to nature, connect with animal energies, and find peace of mind within their psyche. I believe this may be a gift for those traumatized, as comfort, until the veil of suffering
The Outpost concept came to me in a meditative state, strongly connected to Spirit. It was defined as a place either literally or figuratively, where there is the release of the wounded soul and the embracing of the new identity. There is no time limit on this. It happens when one is ready. An outpost is a remote area of the surround (whatever that might be). I am here right now in the utmost NW corner of the US in the Pacific NW. Like any other human community, it has its joys and sorrows. But unlike many communities, it has great Feng Shui. The air is clean, the mountains and forest embrace the village and the bay. Native American spirit is strong, so is wild animal energy. Unbelievably abundant local organic produce. If one stops making noise one can hear messages of wisdom and joy abounding from Mother Nature.
I am going to explore this idea. I believe we are in the new paradigm and perhaps those of us who dare to realize our pain and release it, and forgive are pilgrims on this new path of human consciousness. Perhaps we are on a pilgrimage. Let’s walk- together- in love.
